- Put your oven to 350 degrees (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 3 (9 inches) pans.
- Prepare the cake mix according to package directions. Then you should divide two-thirds of the batter between 2 pans. Stir instant coffee in the remaining batter, then add to the remaining pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes around or till then the toothpick comes out clean from the center. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. In a measuring cup, then mix brewed coffee, and 1 tablespoon of coffee liqueur; now leave it aside.
- Now you will have to prepare the filling. Take a small bowl and an electric mixer, and set it on low speed. Now add mascarpone, ½ sugar, and 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur. Do it till it smoothens. Cover with plastic wrap & refrigerate the same.
- Prepare frosting in a medium bowl with the same electric mixer but it should be on medium-high speed, beat the cream, ¼ sugar, and 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur until stiff. Now fold ½ cup of the cream mixture into the filling mixture.
- It’s time for cake, place one plain cake layer on a serving plate. Use a think skewer, make holes in the cake of inch apart, drop 1/3rd coffee mixture on the cake, and spread it with half of the filling mixture. Top it with a flavored cake layer, now again make holes. Then add another third of the coffee mixture to that second layer, and spread it in the remaining filling. Now top with the remaining cake layer with holes in the cake. Add the remained coffee mixture, spread it to the sides & top the cake with frosting. Now place cocoa in a sieve & lightly dust the top of the cake.
- Now you can garnish it with chocolate curls. Before you are serving it, just refrigerate for 30 minutes up to 1 hour. For the chocolate curls, you can use the vegetable peeler.

- You will have to mix the whole stuff until stiff peaks form. Then add the whole stuff to the cream cheese & whip till everything is mixed or blended.
- Then in another separate shallow bowl combine the espresso & Kahlua. But also remember that strong black coffee can also be the best option here. Ensure it is cool thoroughly. Then line up those ladyfingers, espresso mixture, and an 8×8 dish.
- Dip both sides of ladyfinger in your espresso mixture. Then place it on the bottom of the dish. Cover the whole place uniformly. Then you will have to spread half of the whip cream mixture on top of the soaked fingers.
- Once done, then again repeat the same process on another layer of dipped ladyfingers. Repeat the same process again. Spread it all over the top. It should be complete with four visible layers if you are using a glass bowl.
- Your dish is ready, but you can garnish it with cocoa powder. Just sprinkle it on the top or ensure the whole top layer is covered with cocoa powder. But you can’t serve it before refrigerating. The minimum time to refrigerate is 3 hours, but it is better to refrigerate it for up to 24 hours.

- Now dip each ladyfinger in the coffee mixture while placing it in the bottom of a jar or cup, break it into pieces as much needed to make it the size of the cup. Then add a layer of cream to it. Now break another ladyfinger adding it into the cup while arranging the cream over it. Repeat the same process till your cup is filled full.
- Now cover the whole cup and leave it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Before you are serving this ensure you have garnished it with cocoa powder.
